TINA among winners announced for 65th Annual Drama Desk Awards

Winners for this year's Drama Desk Awards 2020 have been announced with a number of original UK shows winning big during the virtually-held ceremony.

Matthew Lopez's epic two-parter, The Inheritance, took home five awards, including the award for Outstanding Play, after the show enjoyed phenomenal success in London at the Young Vic and Noel Coward theatres.

Meanwhile, Adrienne Warren was awarded Outstanding Actress in a Musical for her portrayal as Tina Turner, a role she originated at the West End's Aldwych Theatre before crossing the pond to reprise her role for the Broadway transfer production.
