Ephram, born Nicholas Ryan Daniels, is a jack of all trades and enjoys attending the theatre, classical music concerts and the opera. Based in Prague, he works as a freelance translator from Czech to English and also does visual art and illustration as a hobby. His favourite opera of all time is the Czech fantasy opera, Rusalka, by the famous Czech composer Antonín Dvořák with a libretto by Jaroslav Kvapil, whose aria 'Song to the Moon (Měsíčku na nebi hlubokém)' was famously sung by Renée Fleming at the PROMS. He also enjoys Bedřich Smetana's The Bartered Bride and Libuše, both of which were significant in the Czech National Revival movement, Mozart's The Magic Flute and its aria 'Queen of the Night', and Dvořák's The Devil and Kate, just to name a few. In terms of theatre, Ephram is a huge fan of Harold Pinter's plays and is an avid supporter of emerging playwrights.
