About Ashley Roberts and Lucie Jones
American-born singer and London resident Ashley Roberts is best known for being a member in one of the biggest girl groups of all time, The Pussycat Dolls. She along with other bandmates, including Nicole Scherzinger, were catapulted into international stardom following the release of their debut album PCD. During their seven years of activity, the band sold well over 54 million records and toured all around the world. Whilst Scherzinger enjoyed widespread success as a solo artist in the US following The Pussycat Dolls' disbandment, Roberts became a huge hit in the UK after appearing in I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! and became a runner-up in one of the tightest reality show finals of all time. Roberts may have lost to EastEnders actress Charlie Brooks, but she continued her career in television to great success, going on to appear in Ant & Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway, in two seasons of ITV’s Dancing On Ice as a judge, and as a judge alongside Take That's Gary Barlow in the televised competition, Let It Shine, in which contestants competed for a role in West End jukebox musical The Band.
Further television credits of Ashley Roberts' include appearing Coming In America and ITV’s The Keith Lemon Sketch Show, hosting two seasons of NBC's 1st Look, which aired every Saturday night in the US, and for joining the cast of BBC1's Strictly Come Dancing, in which she became the highest scored contestant with an average 36.9 rating thanks to the guidance of her dance partner, Pasha Kovalev. Roberts currently holds the record for the most perfect scores ever received by a contestant in Strictly Come Dancing history with a total of five perfect scores all throughout the series.
Lucie Jones, who is set to take over for Katharine McPhee as Jenna, is best known for her many iconic roles in musical theatre. Her previous stage credits include Elle Woods in Legally Blonde (UK tour), Holly in The Wedding Singer (national tour), Les Miserables (Queens Theatre), Maureen Johnson in RENT (The Other Palace and UK tour), Meat in the We Will Rock You (world arena tour), Molly Jensen in Ghost: The Musical (Asian tour), and Victoria in American Psycho The Musical (Almeida).
In 2009, Miss Jones became a finalist in The X Factor and hit the road for The X Factor Tour in 2010, playing to sell out crowds at arenas across the country. In January 2017, the star earned the public vote for Eurovision - You Decide on BBC2 with her original single 'Never Give Up On You'. She later competed in Ukraine for the Eurovision World Final. Her TV credits include roles in The Sarah Jane Adventures on BBC and Midsomer Murders on ITV.
