Winners announced: Tony Awards 2013 #TonyAwards

After tweeting live from the 2013 Tony Awards, here is a full list of winners.

Presented at Radio City Music Hall, New York, the 2013 Tony Awards were a spectacular event. The ever-popular Tim Minchin's Matilda The Musical won four awards including Scenic and Lighting Design awards.

Harvey Fierstein and Cyndi Lauper's Kinky Boots was the biggest winner of the night, winning six awards including Best Musical and Best Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role in a Musical. Fingers crossed this will give new momentum to the rumoured West End transfer.

Another big winner was The revival of Stephen Schwartz' Pippin which won four awards, including Best Revival of a Musical and Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role in a Musical for Patina Miller

The Tony Award for Best Play went to Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike.

The evening was screened on CBS in the US, with many UK musical theatre fans scrambling to watch the show via streaming online. Hopefully next year, a deal will be done to screen the Tonys on UK television.

London Theatre Direct tweeted live results as they came in on Twitter. For a full list of winners, see below:
