    WICKED GETS UGLY

CHANNEL 4’s HIT COMEDY UGLY BETTY VISITS THE SMASH HIT MUSICAL WICKED IN EPISODE SET TO BE SHOWN ON WEDNESDAY 7 NOVEMBER ON E4 AND ON FRIDAY 9 NOVEMBER ON C4

Channel 4’s hit comedy Ugly Betty will visit the hugely successful musical WICKED in an episode entitled “Something Wicked This Way Comes”.

Betty and Henry continue their illicit romance and plan a secret date to the Broadway production of WICKED (the programme was actually filmed on location at the Pantages Theatre, home to the hit LA production of WICKED). But things don’t go as planned when Betty’s boss Daniel, thinking Betty’s dating Gio (guest star Freddy Rodriguez), gives her tickets for the two of them instead – tickets which Gio refuses to give up.

The episode will be shown on Wednesday 7 November (9.00pm) on E4 and on Friday 9 November (9.00pm) on Channel 4.

Now in its second record-breaking year, WICKED has grossed over £30 million at the Box Office and has already been seen by over 850,000 theatregoers. The production has been voted BEST NEW MUSICAL at the Theatregoers’ Choice Awards and BEST MUSICAL at the People’s Choice Awards.

Based on Gregory Maguire's best-selling novel, the spellbinding WICKED tells the incredible untold story of the Witches of Oz, and why one came to be called one ‘good’ and the other ‘wicked’…

WICKED stars Kerry Ellis as Elphaba, Dianne Pilkington as Glinda, Oliver Tompsett as Fiyero, Susie Blake as Madame Morrible and Nigel Planer as The Wizard.
