    Wicked announces open auditions for dancers

    Auditions for Wicked London and Wicked UK tour companies will be held on 12th and 13th April.   The open auditions will take place at Pineapple Studios, London, this coming Friday and Saturday.   As well as the hit London show which currently resides at the Apollo Victoria Theatre, a major new touring production of the award-winning musical will open in Manchester in September 2013 and visit Dublin, Milton Keynes, Cardiff, Glasgow, Leeds and Birmingham.  Further cities, casting and dates into 2015 will be announced at a later date.

    Unique, athletic dancers are required with strong ballet/jazz technique for Wayne Cilento’s edgy, contemporary choreography.
     
    Applicants must also have strong singing voices
    Females 5’1” – 5’8”, Males 5’6” – 6’2”
    Playing age 18 to late 20s
     
    Performers of all backgrounds and ethnic groups are encouraged to attend

    Auditionees should take tight fitting dance clothes, jazz shoes or trainers and kneepads.  They should prepare a contemporary Musical Theatre song with the sheet music, no backing tracks.  They will also need to take a CV and Headshot stapled together.

    You should be prepared to wait, you may be required all day for recalls and singing in the afternoon.
