WE'RE OFF TO SEE THE WIZARD...BUT NOT RUSSELL GRANT AS HE TAKES LEAVE FROM WIZARD OF OZ SHOW!

Today's sees the last performance by Russell Grant at the London Palladium until at least 20th March if not longer as he has to step aside from his roles in the Wizard of Oz .

During his time on BBC's Strictly Come Dancing, he endured an injured knee but kept up that old show biz adage "the show must go on" and refused to leave the dancing gig to have an operation.

Now after extensive physio, he has to undergo an emergency knee surgery to fix the problem.  Hopefully Russell will be dancing down the Yellow Brick Road again soon.  He is contracted to be in the show until 13th May and aims to rejoin his co-stars by 22nd March.

    Get well soon Russell!
