    A bloody tale of love, corruption and revenge…

    Eve Best returns to The Old Vic in March 2012 in John Webster’s great Jacobean tragedy, The Duchess of Malfi. This major new production will be directed by Jamie Lloyd.

    Webster’s poetic masterpiece tells the dark and bloody story of the recently widowed Duchess. As jealousy, madness and bloodshed surround her, the Duchess retains her strength and dignity, even in the face of death.

    Jamie Lloyd's credits include She Stoops to Conquer (National), Inadmissible Evidence, Passion and Piaf (Donmar), The Faith Machine and The Pride (Royal Court) and The Little Dog Laughed, Three Days of Rain and The Lover and The Collection in the West End.

    Olivier Award winning actress Eve Best ’s credits include The Old Vic’s A Moon for the Misbegotten (The Drama Desk & Outer Critics’ Circle Awards for Best Actress). Much Ado About Nothing (The Globe). TV and Film credits include the Duchess of Windsor in the Oscar winning film, The King’s Speech and the hit American television drama Nurse Jackie.
