    Things to do in London

There are many things to do in London, whether you are a first time visitor or if you make regular trips into the city. Due to the amount of attractions and events throughout the year, it’s probably more helpful to give you some of the most popular to narrow it down and make it just that little bit easier!

    So here we go!

    1. Tate Modern – It's one of London’s most visited galleries, offering outstanding works of modern art. The building itself is such an appeal to visitors, as it was built from a vast disused power station on the Thames's south bank by Herzog and De Meuron.

    2. The London Eye – If you find yourself near the Southbank you can’t miss this huge wheel which has glass capsules for you to take a ride in and get some of the most spectacular views of London!

    3. Buckingham Palace – Home of our Queen! You can take a lovely walk up to the gates of this beautiful palace and experience the Changing of The Guard. It takes place in the forecourt inside the gates of the palace at 11.30am every day. Be sure to get there early to get a great view.

    4. Madame Tussauds – our famous wax work museum. Come face to face with the celebs you’ve always wanted to meet! From Shakespeare to Britney, you'll meet influential figures from showbiz, politics and even Royalty.

    5. The Tower of London – one of London’s most famous buildings. You can take a tour and discover its 900-year history as a royal palace, prison and place of execution, arsenal, jewel house and zoo! Gaze up at the White Tower, tiptoe through a medieval king's bedchamber and take a peek at the Crown Jewels.

    6. The Houses of Parliament with Big Ben – take a visit to the place where British laws governing the country are debated and enacted. During the Summer Opening visitors can buy tickets to tour Parliament.

    7. The O2 – The dome built for the millennium has now been turned into a successful 23,000 seat arena for hosting concerts, maybe your favourite band will be on at the time.

You can always search online ‘what's on’ in London with the dates you plan to visit, and many websites will advertise things to do in London during that weekend/weekday that you wish to come.
