The Commitments Media Launch at London’s Palace Theatre

After an initial pre-sale period in Ireland, The Commitments held its official Media Launch in London's Palace Theatre today.

Press gathered at the Palace Theatre in the heart of the West End this morning for an exclusive opportunity to talk to Roddy Doyle and Director Jamie Lloyd about the show. The Commitments, which has been more than two years in the making, will open at the Palace Theatre on 21st September 2013.

After beginning the search for a cast in the show’s hometown of Dublin, The Commitments had its official launch in Dublin and The Commitments ticket pre-sale ran for 4 days before The Commitments launched in the UK today. To celebrate the release of the new musical, the Irish Independent gave away a free copy of the best-selling book by Roddy Doyle with every purchase of Saturday’s paper.
