    STREWTH! IT'S ALF IN HEELS!

Home and Away's Alf joins the Priscilla Queen Of The Desert cast in September

Ray Meagher, best known for his role as Alf Stewart in the long-running Aussie soap Home and Away, will join the London cast of Priscilla Queen Of The Desert on 30th September.  Ray has been a regular in the antipodean show for 22 years and has also appeared in Australian classics Prisoner: Cell Block H and A Country Practice.

Ray will replace John Bowe as Bob in the camp spectacular telling the outrageous yet touching tale of the road trip of three friends, a transsexual and two drag queens, through the Australian outback.  He will join current cast members Oliver Thornton, Ben Richards and Don Gallagher.  Meagher also portrayed the role in the Sydney production in 2007.

Priscilla Queen Of The Desert is the successful stage adaptation of the Oscar-winning 1994 film, The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of The Desert.  It opened at The Palace Theatre in March 2009 with fellow Australian and one-time star of rival soap Neighbours, Jason Donovan.  The feelgood show features classic disco hits such as I Love The Nightlife, Go West, I Will Survive and Don't Leave Me This Way and will also ensure you never look at a ping pong ball in the same way again!
