Spice Girls reunited at Viva Forever Musical launch – Via Forever tickets now on sale!

Melanie Brown, Melanie Chisholm, Geri Halliwell, Emma Bunton and Victoria Beckham reunite for the Viva Forever! launch at St Pancras Renaissance Hotel. Tickets for the new musical, Viva Forever are now on sale!

Four years after the Spice Girls last reunited for the Return Of The Spice Girls tour and after months and months of speculation as to whether the group would agree to appear together, all five Spice Girls joined forces today to confirm details of the new musical, Viva Forever!

Victoria Beckham, Emma Bunton, Melanie Chisholm, Melanie Brown and Geri Halliwell posed for photos back where it all began - the St Pancras Hotel in London, where they filmed their Wannabe video in 1996.

Back in 1996, the Spice Girls filmed the video at the run down hotel, which has since been restored to its former glory.

The girls all looked stunning at the launch and far more sophisticated than they did in the 1990s.

Fans have been whipped up into a frenzy as each Spice Girl has been teasing information on their Twitter accounts for the past few weeks.

Victoria Beckham, the most successful financially and arguably most famous member of the Spice Girls flew in especially from Los Angeles yesterday.

Always a talking point, Victoria wore an almost military-style dress and knee high boots.

But it was the other girls who may have won the fashion stakes.

Mel B wore a very smart grey dress and delicious spiky Christian Louboutin heels.  She’s now based in Australia where she is a judge on the Australia’s Got Talent show and host of Dancing With Stars Australia.

On the more feminine side were Geri and Emma looking pretty in short dresses and heels.

Melanie C was the furthest from her Spice identity as Sporty spice wearing a beautiful floating white dress.

Obviously, the thrust of the conference is the launch of the new musical, Viva Forever, penned by comedienne Jennifer Saunders. But the question on everyone’s lips was whether this was the beginning of a more formal reunion.

Some members of the group are known to want a return to the limelight as the supergroup. Mel B and having mentioned recently that she was disappointed not to be a part of the recent Diamond Jubilee and Olympics.

However, it is Victoria who is said to be holding out against the idea as she has a successful career as a fashion designer.

In March, Mel C dismissed speculation they would reunite for the Queen's Diamond Jubilee Concert: 'Not true. It was an honour to be asked (for the Jubilee concert), but not everyone is comfortable about doing it so we have to respect each other’s feelings about that.'

While not answering the question of a reunion directly, last month, Victoria Beckham stated: 'I was never going to be the best singer and it wasn’t my passion.'
