Simon Callow has confirmed he will once again star in his critically acclaimed play Being Shakespeare. The production returns to the West End later this month for 22 performances only between Wednesday 26th February and Saturday 15th March 2014.

In the show Simon brings to life Shakespeare’s unforgettable characters as well as the real man behind the legend. This will be the play’s third West End run. Being Shakespeare has also toured the UK and been staged off-Broadway at the Brooklyn Academy of Music  and at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

Simon Callow, one of Britain’s finest actors, was the recipient of The Stage Award for Outstanding Contribution to British Theatre at the 2013 UK Theatre Awards. His most recent theatre credits include Inside Wagner’s Head (Royal Opera House/Theatre Royal Plymouth) and his critically acclaimed staging of Dickens’s A Christmas Carol (West End).  Previously, he achieved huge international success with The Mystery of Charles Dickens (West End and Broadway) and national acclaim with Dr Marigold & Mr Chops.
