    Sian Phillips, Matt Rawle and Harriet Thorpe to join the cast of Cabaret

    Sian Phillips, Matt Rawle and Harriet Thorpe are to join the previously announced stars Will Young and Michelle Ryan in the new production of Cabaret at the Savoy Theatre.

    Phillips, best known for film and TV work such as I, Claudius and Goodnight Mr Chips, will play Fraulein Schneider.

    Rawle, who most recently appeared in Pippin at the Menier Chocolate Factory and who played Che in the 2006 West End production of Evita, will take the role of Cliff.

    Thorpe, who was recently in Crazy for You in the West End and who appeared in the long-running TV series The Brittas Empire, will play Fraulein Kost.
     
    With choreography by Javier De Frutos and Direction by Rufus Norris, this production of Cabaret originally opened in September 2006, at the Lyric Theatre, starring Anna Maxwell Martin, James Dreyfus and Sheila Hancock. Hancock won the Olivier Award for Best Supporting Performance and Javier De Frutos for Best Choreographer.
     
    Featuring show-stopping choreography and dazzling costumes, the Cabaret songs include Money Makes The World Go Round, Two Ladies, Maybe This Time and of course Cabaret
     
    Starring Will Young as the Emcee and Michelle Ryan as the fabulous Sally Bowles, this multi award winning production will re-open at the Savoy Theatre on October 3.
