    SHREK CONFIRMED FOR DRURY LANE

     

    Shrek the Musical will open at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane in May next year.

    Based on William Steig’s book Shrek! and the Oscar-winning DreamWorks film, SHREK THE MUSICAL will open at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane in May next year.

    Shrek will be directed by Avenue Q director Jason Moore and Rob Ashford, who recently directed A Streetcar Named Desire at the Donmar Warehouse.

    Book and lyrics have been written by David Lindsay-Abaire and the show will feature music by Jeanine Tesori and choreography by Josh Prince.

    The new production of Shrek The Musical is produced by DreamWorks Theatricals and Neal Street Productions.

    Shrek the Musical was performed on Broadway from December 2008 - January 2010.

    Shrek will replace Oliver! at Theatre Royal Drury Lane.
