Premiere of Letter to Larry at the Jermyn Street Theatre

Written and directed by Donald Macdonald, Letter to Larry previews at the Jermyn Street Theatre from 5th June to 16th June.

In 1960, while starring in “Duel Of Angels” on Broadway, Vivien Leigh received a letter from Laurence Olivier asking for a divorce.  Her response created a worldwide sensation.  Scarlett, Cleopatra, and Blanche were her fire, but Larry was the light.  Known for her magic, and thrown by mental illness, Vivien now fights for his love ...and her life.

In Letter to Larry, Vivien recalls their "offering to Queen Elizabeth II in her Coronation year". In anticipation of Vivien’s centenary year (2013) with premiere seasons in London and New York next year, this new play previews in the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee year at Jermyn Street Theatre. On 14th June there is a special performance supporting the charity MIND.
