Michael Crawford To Star In The Go-Between London Premiere At The Apollo Theatre

It has been announced that a new musical version of The Go-Between will premiere on stage at London's Apollo Theatre.

Michael Crawford will star in this new British musical.

The Go-Between is an adaptation of the 1971 romantic drama film, where it won the Palme D'or at the Cannes film Festival. A month later, the Queen and Queen Mother arrived at the ABC Cinema in Norwich to attend the premiere. It is the first stage adaptation to show in London.

The Go-Between is the story of a young boy, Leo, who is invited to spend the 1900 summer period at a Norfolk Country house.

He is left to entertain himself, Leo finds himself becoming a messenger (go-between) carrying messages between Marcus's older sister, Marian Maudsley and a farmer neighbour, with whom she is secretly in love.
