    London Theatres What's On

    There are a number of London theatres what's on guides published, the most famous and most popular being that issued by the Society of London Theatres. This handy booklet details all the major London theatres, their location and the current shows performing in them. The London theatre guide is available at the theatre foyers or box offices of most London venues.
    If you’re not in London, or want to check what’s on in London before you plan your trip, another useful way to find out this information is to have a good rummage online through the many different theatre websites. The best way is to visit the website of an official ticket agency or try to find the website of the theatre you plan on visiting. These days, it’s often quite hard to find the genuine websites and ticket agents online, so best to stick with the websites and companies you trust. Be sure to check that any agent is a S.T.A.R. member and then you can’t go far wrong.

    Finding out what’s on in London theatres is a lot easier these days as a quick search online will bring up pages and pages of results. You can also read through reviews and discuss your favourite shows online through the many blogs, Facebook groups and also on Twitter.

    Another way to find out what’s on in London is to pick up a local newspaper – the Evening Standard is now handed out free of charge at most train and tube stations. These newspapers often list the major theatre shows and box office telephone numbers and sometimes links to the show websites. Sometimes they run special offers as well, although these tend to be for a limited time and last minute tickets.

    Of course, you could find out the old fashioned way and ask someone who’s been to London about what’s on, word of mouth is often the best recommendation! Especially if they’ve been lucky enough to catch a few shows when they were in town. They might even warn you off some shows, saving you some money and disappointment at the theatre...

    So the best way to find out about London theatres what's on is to simply do a little research and a fantastic night out can’t be that far away!
