American actress Laurie Metcalf, best known for her role as Jackie Harris in the hit comedy series Roseanne, will be returning to the London stage to star opposite David Suchet in the upcoming drama Long Day's Journey Into Night at the Apollo Theatre.

It has been 10 years since she last performed in London's Westend when she made her British stage debut in 2001 in All My Sons at the National Theatre. Metcalf began her career in theatre at the Steppenwolf Theatre Company. The play was also made into a film in 1962 starring Katherine Hepburn Ralph Richardson.
