    KIMBERLEY WALSH AS PRINCESS FIONA IN SHREK THE MUSICAL

    Following current star, Amanda Holden who has announced she is expecting a baby girl, is Girls Aloud singer Kimberley Walsh who will join Shrek The Musical from 3rd October at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane.

    Already scheduled to take over the in December, the pop singer will join the cast earlier allowing Amanda Holden to leave the show as she is now 3 months pregnant.  Known to fans around the world as one of the Girls Aloud singers who have achieved 20 consecutive top 10 singles, Kimberley Walsh is no stranger to the West End.  She made her debut in Les Miserables starring as Young Cosette.

    With Girls Aloud seemingly on hiatus, the members have been branching out on their own projects with Walsh increasingly seen on TV in presenting roles.  She has often spoken of her wish to star in a West End musical.

    The rest of the cast currently remains the same with the show booking up until October 2012.
