    GARETH GATES JOINS THE CAST OF LES MISERABLES

    Award winning singer and runner-up in the first series of Pop Idol, Gareth Gates, joins the cast of Les Miserables at the Queen’s Theatre from October 2010.

    Gareth Gates, who became famous thanks to the TV show Pop Idol will be joining the company of Les Miserables next week as Marius reprising his role from the 25th Anniversary World Tour of Les Miserables.

    His first performance is scheduled for Monday 18th October and will perform the role until Saturday 20th November 2010 and again from 31st January to 18th June 2011.

    Gareth Gates sold over 3.5 million records in the UK alone, releasing 3 albums and topping the UK charts 4 times! In 2009 Gareth Gates moved into musicals playing the lead role in the West End production of Joseph and the Technicolor Dreamcoat at the Adelphi Theatre.

    The legendary production of Boublil and Schonberg's Les Misérables is indisputably the world's most popular musical - seen by over 57 million people worldwide in 42 countries, 291 cities and sung in 21 different languages. Les Miserables includes the songs I Dreamed A Dream, Do You Hear the People Sing, Bring Him Home, and many more.

    This spectacular adaptation of Victor Hugo's masterpiece continues to thrill audiences night after night and features an incredible cast including Simon Bowman, Norm Lewis, Samantha Barks and Gareth Gates from 18 October.
