FROM BLONDE TO GREEN - CARLEY STENSON JOINS CAST OF SHREK AS PRINCESS OF FIONA

Carley Stenson will replace Kimberly Walsh when she joins the new West End company of Shrek The Musical at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane, with Dean Chisnall and Neil McDermott as Shrek and Lord Farquaad.  Richard Blackwood continues in his role of Donkey which he has played since the show opened on 14 June 2011.

Currently Stenson is playing at the Savoy Theatre as loveable blonde Elle Woods in Legally Blonde.  She will join the production from 23rd May after Girls Aloud Kimberley Walsh takes her final bow as Princess Fiona on 21st May.  Originally the role starred Amanda Holden who recently won the Whatsonstage.com Award for Best Actress for the role.

Carley Stenson who made her West End debut as Margot in Legally Blonde has other stage credits that include Grease (Palace Theatre, Manchester), Summer Song (BridgeWater Hall), Remembering Diana (Her Majesty’s), Godspell (Globe Theatre, Blackpool) and Aida (Opera House, Manchester).
