    Family Theatre London

Is your child's birthday coming up? Or do you just feel like giving them a treat for being so well behaved lately? Then keep reading for the very best family theatre London has on offer and take them along for a truly wonderful experience they will remember forever. Taking your child to the theatre as opposed to the cinema or a games arcade is a much more exciting and entertaining experience for them as they will see live actors singing and dancing and maybe even learn a thing or two.

There are shows on offer for mostly all ages however all London theatres state that no babies in arms will be allowed to attend , everyone must have a valid ticket and occupy a seat. Young children are admitted but are not encouraged to attend unless the parent is confident that their child will not distract other members of the audience and accompanying adults will be asked to remove any noisy infants. These rules are to ensure that all customers enjoy the show.

Unfortunately there are no discounts for children, so everyone pays the same price for a ticket. The only discount offered for young people is if they are part of a school group usually consisting of 12 or more students, they will then be offered a reduced rate. Children's prices are typically less however, at attractions such as Madam Tussauds and The London Eye.

As a quick overview of a couple of family shows London has on offer, The Lion King would have to be the most popular children's and family show currently playing in London's Theatreland. It has been running for over 10 years at the Lyceum Theatre delighting children and adults of all ages. Sadly, children under 3 years of age will not be admitted to this show and all children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

Another show selling out daily is The Tiger Who Came to Tea at the Vaudeville Theatre. Aimed at a younger audience, it is based on one of the best selling picture books of all time. It is the ideal introduction to theatre for pre and primary school children however, this one also has a minimum age of 3 years old.

If you're sick of Lions and Tigers or maybe looking for something for a slightly older audience, not too much older though, then check out the brand new family pop-musical The Go!Go!Go! Show at the Garrick Theatre from the 1st of October. This one is sure to be a hit with a bunch of brand new pop songs, catchy, easy to learn dance moves and a lot of audience participation.

So, if none of the above shows tempt you then don't forget the whole thing. London is full of shows for the whole family, so do your family a favour and get online and start searching for Family Theatre London and off you go!
