Clybourne Park transfers to the West End! Posted on Sep 29, 2010 | By London Theatre Direct Critically-acclaimed author Bruce Norris´ play will transfer to the West End´s Wyndham Theatre in the beginning of 2011. London´s Wyndham Theatre will be the new venue for Clybourne Park following a transfer from the Royal Court Theatre. This brand-new play premiered earlier this year in New York City. Clybourne Park tickets are now on sale for dates from 28th February 2011. The play tells a story of Chicago all-white neighbourhood Clybourne Park. In 1959 Bev and Russ are trying to sell their property what enables first black family to move into neighbourhood. This creates lots of ripples and discontent. In 2009, white couple Lindsay and Steve want to buy the property but want as well to raze it to the ground and rebuild. Clybourne Park asks the question if the same issues are festering beneath the floorboards, fifty years on? Do not miss the chance to see one of the best plays of the year in the West End. News
