Starring a celebrated international cast this stunning new play, directed by RSC Artistic Director Gregory Doran, tells the epic tale of an English maritime pilot, William Adams, washed ashore in Japan at the turn of the 17th century.

Becoming a trusted advisor to a powerful Shogun at a turbulent time in Japanese history, Adams is drawn into a power struggle in a country at war and must decide who and what he stands for, as friendship, honour, sacrifice and love are tested to the limit.
Beyond Flamenco brings the festival out of the main auditorium with performances and more throughout the building, getting you even closer to the action.
