CAROLINE QUENTIN IN PIPPIN AT THE MENIER CHOCOLATE FACTORY

Actress Caroline Quentin has started her limited run of 2 weeks only until 22nd January in the role of Berthe in the musical Pippin now showing the Menier Chocolate Factory until 25th February 2012.
Berthe is the grandmother of Pippin, heir to the throne of Charlemagne, is searching for beauty, glory, fame and magic but in doing so has to come to grips with lust, sex, war, politics and religion.
Although Quentin's early work included a role in the chorus of Les Miserables, she is most famous for her tv roles coming to fame in Men Behaving Badly, as well as roles in Jonathan Creek, Blue Murder and current series Life of Riley. However, she last year appeared at the Menier in Terrible Advice and her extensive theatre credits include Life After Scandal (Hampstead Theatre), The London Cuckolds and Arnold Wesker's Roots (both at the National Theatre).
She joins a cast that also features Harry Hepple, Ian Kelsey, Matt Rawle and Frances Ruffelle with Ben Bunce, Bob Harms, Holly James, Anabel Kutay, David McMullan and Kate Tydman.
Pippin has lyrics and music by Stephen Schwartz, who has the hit show Wicked to his credit.
