    BUSTED'S WILLIS TO STAR IN FLASHDANCE THE MUSICAL

    Matt Willis, member of the former boy band Busted, will take to the stage this autumn when he plays the role of Nick, in the new musical Flashdance, at The Shaftesbury Theatre.

    Matt Willis will be joined by Victoria Hamilton-Barritt who will play the role of Alex.  Hamilton-Barrit is already a regular face in the West End.  Her most recent role, was Rizzo in Grease the Musical at the Piccadilly Theatre, and she has also performed in Mamma Mia! at the Prince of Wales Theatre, Fame at the Aldwych Theatre and Desperately Seeking Susan at the Novello Theatre.

    In addition, they will be joined by musical theatre regulars Sarah Ingram (Imagine This, Murderous Instincts, South Pacific), Hannah Levane (We Will Rock You, High School Musical), Twinnie-Lee Moore (We Will Rock You, Desperately Seeking Susan) and Hollyoaks actress Charlotte Harwood.

    Flashdance the Musical, directed by Nikolai Foster, is based on the classic 80’s film, and will include those famous hits "Maniac", along with “Manhunt”, "Gloria", “I Love Rock & Roll” and the Academy Award winning title track "Flashdance - What A Feeling."   Previews for the show will be from 24 September at the Shaftesbury Theatre and will follow dance show Burn The Floor which currently plays at the theatre until 4 September.

    So dig out those legwarmers and torn sweatshirts, and book Flashdance tickets now!
