    BETWIXT! OPENING AT THE TRAFALGAR STUDIOS SOON!

    Betwixt! a musical comedy by Ian McFarlane, will open at Trafalgar Studios 2 on 28 July with previews from 26 July 2011.

    Steven Webb, Ashleigh Gray and Benedict Salter will front show which tells the story of Bailey, a New York writer struggling with writer’s block. Bailey and his flamboyant roommate Cooper are catapulted into an enchanted world, to fulfil a prophecy. The pair embark on a quest to find a fading daytime TV star who is the only hope for saving a pregnant princess from losing the throne.

    Webb's stage credits include Lakeboat and Prairie du Chien at the Arcola, Departure Lounge at Waterloo East, Alan Bennet’s The History Boys in the West End and on tour, Shit-Mix at Trafalgar Studios and the title role in Dick Whittington at the Lyric Hammersmith.

    Ashleigh Gray, who plays Miranda, is best known for playing Elphaba in Wicked at the Apollo Victoria. Her other credits include Taboo, Grease and the Notes From New York concert series. Benedict Salter makes his West End debut with the production.

    The show was first seen at the King’s Head theatre in 2008 before being staged as a concert production at the Ambassadors Theatre later that year.

    Betwixt! has choreography by Grace Harrington and is produced by Christopher D Clegg. The show will only play a very limited run at Trafalgar Studios 2 until 20th August 2011.
