ANDREW LLOYD WEBBER'S LOVE NEVER DIES FAILS TO WIN ANY OLIVIER AWARDS

Despite being nominated in seven categories, Andrew Lloyd Webber's sequel to Phantom of the Opera , LOVE NEVER DIES, failed to win any awards last night at the Laurence Oliver Awards.

The show featured a fantastic tribute to the original Phantom of the Opera which closed the first act that only acted to further eclipse the badly-reviewed sequel.

The Oliviers were held at the Theatre Royal, Drury Lane, one of Lloyd Webber’s Really Useful Theatres.
