A Chorus Line revolutionised Broadway when it opened in 1975 and went on to play 6,137 performances, winning nine Tony Awards, seven Drama Desk Awards, the New York Critic’ Circle Award and the Pulitzer Prize for Drama. It transferred to the West End the following year, winning the Olivier Award for Best New Musical.
