Some companies and theatres are able to offer 2 for 1 theatre tickets on selected shows. To book these, you have to do it with the agent/company advertising the offer. There are adverts throughout newspapers and trade magazines that can be found throughout the year on a regular basis.
The offer may include buy one full price ticket and get a 2nd one free. It would normally be subject to availability as the theatres have a certain amount of seats that can be offered out, before there is a ‘cap’.
It might be best available in the theatre, or it might include a specific area, for example the Stalls, Dress Circle. Grand Circle etc. Or even seats at a certain price, for example valid for tickets at face value £35.00
Offers like this might be found in the Summer months when the children are on holidays, or at off peak seasons. You need to check the full details of the offer you have found, but you may be able to bag tickets to some of the West Ends top shows including; Phantom of the Opera, Matilda the Musical, Disney's The Lion King, and Wicked.
Some train companies arrange a special ticket offer, for example buy a full rate train ticket and get half off a theatre ticket. Again, you will need to book with the company advertising the deal. Phone numbers or websites should be provided along with instructions of how to book. If the advert is a little vague, it could turn out to be illegitimate.
Always look out for family tickets, as again there are companies out there helping you to reduce your costs so you can take your family to enjoy the entertainment the West End theatre has to offer. This might be travel agents, rail companies, websites, and with the theatres directly.
Always be reminded that when booking tickets, don’t forget to buy from a trustworthy source. The company needs to be a member of STAR, which means you can book in confidence and in a secure way, as they are a self regulatory body within the ticket industry.
The agent should clearly identify the face value of any tickets purchased and their booking fees, highlight their terms and conditions and give you a high quality of customer service.
You may like to join and subscribe to a website, so that you receive the current offers out there. Its better to be subscribed so you are the first to receive the deals.
The 2 for 1 theatre tickets will have exclusions and dates or days that, you must read all terms and conditions before buying.
