    London's Spookiest Shows This Halloween!

With Halloween just around the corner, there is plenty of attractions, plays and musicals in London's West End to get you in the mood. Whether it be something to give the children a scare, or you and your friends want a fun night out to remember, or not, here is our choice of spooky shows to get your heart pumping this Halloween!

First up, and probably one of the most terrifying and ghostly shows currently running is Woman In Black. This is probably one for the adults and older children, with a minimum recommended age of 12. It follows the story of Arthur Kipp, a junior solicitor who is summoned to attend the funeral of Mrs Alice Drablow, the sole inhabitant of Eel March House. The Woman In Black gives the audience an evening of horror as they are transported into a terrifying and freighting world.

Wicked, running at the Apollo Victoria Theatre is one more for the children with a minimum age of 8. It tells the story of the friendship between the popular blonde Glinda and the misunderstood green girl Elphaba. Following an encounter with The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, their friendship reaches a crossroads and their lives take very different paths. Glinda's unflinching desire for popularity sees her seduced by power while Elphaba's determination to remain true to herself, and to those around her, will have unexpected and shocking consequences for her future. Their extraordinary adventures in Oz in Wicked will ultimately see them fulfil their destinies as Glinda the Good and the Wicked Witch of the West.

Then of course, there is Ghost Stories at The Arts Theatre. But we're not going to give the game away. Suffice to say, it's spook-tastic! Ages 15+ ONLY!

Finally for a musical that's probably not all that scary but definitely has a classic Halloween tune as part of its set list, Thriller Live at the Lyric Theatre is one not to be missed. Why not go in costume as Michael Jackson himself in the famous red suit he wore in the Thriller Film clip! Featuring all the music from Michael Jackson's career from his earliest time in the Jackson 5, Thriller Live songs include I Want You Back, ABC, Can You Feel It, Off The Wall,, The Way You Make Me Feel, Smooth Criminal, Beat It, Billie Jean, Dirty Diana, They Don’t care About Us plus many more! Plus word has it that to celebrate Halloween, the theatre has had a spooky makeover and all on their way out, all theatregoers will receive a spooky treat from the ushers dressed as witches and devils for the occasion.

Make sure you book your tickets now for one of London's spookiest shows to avoid missing out!
