KEVIN MCNALLY SAILS IN FROM THE CARIBBEAN TO JOIN CAST OF HIT WEST END COMEDY BOEING–BOEING
Pirates of the Caribbean’s Kevin McNally will join the cast of the hit west end comedy, Boeing-Boeing on 3 September for four weeks only to play Parisian playboy Bernard. McNally will take over from Adrian Dunbar and joins Doon Mackichan, Amy Nuttall, Rhea Perlman, Elena Roger and Neil Stuke, the current cast of Boeing-Boeing. The show is currently booking through October 2007.
Kevin McNally’s film credits include the role of Gibbs, Captain Jack Sparrow’s first mate in The Pirates of the Caribbean Trilogy, De-Lovely, The Phantom of the Opera, Johnny English, Sliding Doors, Irish Jam and Entrapment. He has recently completed filming Bryan Singer’s Valkyrie, with a cast led by Tom Cruise. His extensive theatre credits include, more recently, World Music for the Donmar Warehouse, The Lady in the Van at the Queens Theatre, Naked for the Almeida Theatre Company, Dead Funny and Plunder at the Savoy Theatre and Exact Change for the Lyric Hammersmith. His television credits include Life On Mars, Bloodlines, Dunkirk, Spooks, Shackleton, Rab C Nesbitt, Enigma and Diana.
Bernard, a successful architect living in Paris, thought he could easily cope with his three air hostess fiancées. It was all a question of timetables and his reliable, long-suffering housekeeper Bertha who reluctantly has the role of romantic air-traffic controller. When old school chum Robert arrives, Bernard relishes the chance to show his wide-eyed friend his first-class operation at work. Unfortunately, schedules change, flights are delayed and a new turbo-charged Boeing aircraft is introduced: chaos ensues in this hysterical whirl of mayhem and matchmaking.
