    Concerts, Operas, One-offs: February 2018

    The West End isn’t only about plays and musicals, there are also incredible concerts, opera, stand up comedy shows and other exciting one-off events every month. Here is a list of some of the amazing things coming to London in February.

    John Bishop: Winging It February 7th-9th at the London Palladium
    John Bishop’s sell out comedy tour has been extended and is coming to the West End for three nights. John Bishop has become one of Britain's comedy elite and with this tour he proves he deserved it.

    Seal February 23rd at the London Palladium
    Internationally acclaimed singer and songwriter Seal is known around the world for hits like “Kiss from a Rose”. The British singer returns to the London Palladium to present his newest album Standards, as well as the classics we all know and love.

    Conchita! February 25th at the London Palladium
    International sensation and Eurovision 2014 winner Conchita Wurst is bringing her orchestral show to the UK for the first time. Conchita presents the songs of her favourite divas in this one of a kind concert. With special guests, her own rock band and accompaniment by the BBC’s 60 piece Concert Orchestra lead by acclaimed conductor Wilhelm Keitel, this will be an unforgettable night!

    Satyagraha February 1st-27th at the London Coliseum
    Acclaimed composer Philip Glass created Satyagraha as a contemplation of Ghandi’s early life and following the progress of his concept of peaceful protest as a way to affect great change. Noted British tenor Toby Spence sings Gandhi along with sopranos Charlotte Beament and Anna-Clare Monk singing  Miss Schelesen and Mrs Naidoo respectively.

    Iolanthe February 13th to April 7th at the London Coliseum
    The ENO presents the classic Gilbert and Sullivan satirical comedy Iolanthe. This upside down world is populated by peers of the realm and fairies. Mezzo Soprano Samantha Price leads a cast of notable ENO faces, including Andrew Shore as the Lord Chancellor.

    Sarah's love of theater was sparked by an enthusiastic drama teacher who wouldn't take no for an answer. These days she's much more comfortable in the audience than on the stage. She's an English teacher and enjoys reading and writing when she's not teaching or at the theater.
