CHANGE OF CABIN CREW AT THE COMEDY THEATRE

AMY NUTTALL JOINS CAST OF WEST END HIT BOEING – BOEING

From 14 May Amy Nuttall will join the cast of Matthew Warchus’ hit West End production Boeing-Boeing to play TWA stewardess Gloria, one of Bernard’s three glamorous fiancées who each believes she is his one true love! Earlier this week it was announced that Patricia Hodge will play the role of Bernard’s housekeeper Bertha from 30 April until 23 June. Currently playing to packed houses at the Comedy Theatre, Boeing-Boeing is now extended through October 2007.

Bernard, a successful architect living in Paris, thought he could easily cope with his three air hostess fiancées. It was all a question of timetables and a reliable, long-suffering housekeeper who reluctantly has the role of romantic air-traffic controller. When old school chum Robert arrives, Bernard relishes the chance to show his wide-eyed friend his first-class operation at work. Unfortunately, schedules change, flights are delayed and a new turbo-charged Boeing aircraft is introduced: chaos ensues in this hysterical whirl of mayhem and matchmaking.

Translated by Beverley Cross from Mark Camoletti’s original, Matthew Warchus’ production of Boeing-Boeing opened at the Comedy Theatre in February. Boeing-Boeing is designed by Rob Howell, with lighting by Hugh Vanstone, original music by Claire van Kampen and sound by Simon Baker. The curtain call is devised by Bruno Tonioli. Boeing-Boeing is produced in the West End by Sonia Friedman Productions, Act Productions, Matthew Byam Shaw, Robert G Bartner and Bob Boyett.

In 2000 Amy Nuttall joined ITV’s long running soap Emmerdale as Chloe Atkinson, a role she played for over four years. In 2005 she was nominated for a Classical Brit Award for her debut album Best Days. She is currently recording her second album which is due for release in September. Most recently Amy played the role of Sarah Brown alongside Patrick Swayze and then Don Johnson in Michael Grandage’s production of Guys and Dolls at the Piccadilly Theatre. Previously she played Eliza Doolittle in the UK Tour of My Fair Lady alongside Christopher Cazenove and Honor Blackman.
