Sia Kiwa is a professional singer and theatre actress living in Hertfordshire, UK. She discovered her passion for acting by performing in musical theatre and wants to act on screen. Her experience as a singer, dancer and actor makes her a complete package.
Training:
She went to the Northern School of Contemporary Dance and graduated with a BA degree in Performing Arts in 2000.
Theatre:
Sia has worked extensively in theatre ever since her graduation. She appeared as an ensemble in Julie Taymor’s The Lion King musical (2003 – 05) at the Lyceum Theatre; ensemble, cover Nehebka in Juan Escandell’s Aida (2005 – 07) in the Germany, Switzerland and Austria tour; ensemble, soloist in Dirty Dancing (2007 – 08) at the Aldwych Theatre; Alice Fitzwarren in Joyce Branagh’s Dick Whittington (2008) at the Watford Palace Theatre; Myrrhine in the tour of Lysistrata at the Watford Palace Theatre (2009); dancer in Alesandra Seutin’s KWENDA (2009) at the Purcell Room, London; the title role in Kate McGregor’s ‘Zipporah’ The Musical (2009); Dynamite (Peaches) in Hairspray (2009 – 10) at the Shaftesbury Theatre;
Film:
In movies, she played the lead role, Zera in Nadine Paterson’s Release (Harmony Image London, 2005)
TV:
Her work in television includes playing the role of Kelly in Armstrong and Miller 2010 (BBC Television Centre), Kemi in Weavers (New Heart, 2011), and Edith in Café Afrik (Enypictures Media Productions, 2013) among others.
