An international musical theatre actress and Filipino singer, Rachelle Ann “Shin” Villalobos Go started her music career by taking part in and winning many singing contests. In 2004, she became the Grand Champion of Search for a Star, the talent show that gave her the big break she deserved. In 2005, she won the Silver Prize award at the Shanghai Music Festival for her song “From the Start”, and Best Own Song “Isang Lahi” at the Astana International Song Festival. She became the first Filipino artist to hit the #1 spot in the U.S. music chart.
Rachelle made her theatre debut in 2011 by playing Ariel in The Little Mermaid and went on to earn the Best Actress award. From there, her career in theatre flourished and she has been in several smash-hit musicals in Broadway and London’s West End ever since. Recently, Rachelle appeared in the West End production of Hamilton, which won her the “Best Actress in a New Production of a Musical” in the BroadwayWorld UK Awards.
