The Simon & Garfunkel Story to extend in the West End

‘If you need a friend, [Simon and Garfunkel are] sailing right behind.’ The Simon & Garfunkel Story announced a West End extension due to overwhelming ticket demand. The news comes ahead of their week-long engagement at the Vaudeville Theatre, which begins on 12 November and runs through 17 November 2018.

The Simon & Garfunkel Story announces six additional performances for 2019, all of which will be held at the Lyric Theatre. The performances are scheduled to take place once a month on Monday evenings from January to June. Confirmed dates for the additional six performances are 21 January, 25 February, 25 March, 29 April, 20 May and 24 June.

The critically acclaimed concert-style musical tells the tale of Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel, two of the most important musicians of our time who together formed the legendary duo, Simon & Garfunkel. Their story plays out live on stage with a full band and brass orchestra that will take you back to simpler times when such tunes as ‘The Sound of Silence’, ‘Mrs Robinson’, ‘Homeward Bound’ and ‘Bridge Over Troubled Water’ dominated the airwaves. The Simon & Garfunkel Story is backed by authentic imagery of the eponymous duo, including real footage, newsreels and adverts from both the sixties and later decades.

The Simon & Garfunkel Story stars Sam O’Hanlon as Paul Simon and Charles Blyth as Art Garfunkel, both of whom have been touring with the show since 2017. Don’t miss what the critics have been calling “authentic and exciting” (The Stage), “a real treat” (The Metro) and “amazing” (BBC Radio 2).

The Simon & Garfunkel Story runs at the Vaudeville Theatre from 13 November 2018 to 17 November 2018 before transferring to the Lyric Theatre on 10 December and for the new year.
