The Inbetweeners' actor Blake Harrison to star in Waitress at the Adelphi Theatre beginning in June

Renowned English actor Blake Harrison, who is best known for starring in the award-winning series The Inbetweeners as Neil Sutherland, is set to take over the role of Ogie in Waitress this summer. The news comes following an announcement made last week that Lucie Jones will take over the role of Jenna from Katharine McPhee whilst Ashley Roberts would temporarily replace Laura Baldwin as Dawn. Waitress The Musical is currently booking at the West End's Adelphi Theatre until 19 October 2019 in an open-ended run.

Following a new lead cast announcement for Waitress made last week, it has been confirmed today that Blake Harrison will be taking over the role of Ogie from 30 Rock actor Jack McBrayer, who finishes his West End debut performance on Saturday, 15 June 2019. Harrison begins his run as Ogie in Waitress on Monday, 17 June 2019.

In addition to his role on the BAFTA Award-winning E4 comedy series, The Inbetweeners, and its subsequent film spin-offs, The Inbetweeners Movie and The Inbetweeners 2, Blake Harrison has also notably appeared in the critically lauded BBC drama, A Very English Scandal, opposite Hugh GrantAlex Jennings, and Ben Whishaw. Other screen credits of Harrison's include The Increasingly Poor Decisions of Todd MargaretPrime Suspect 1973, feature-length film Dad’s Army, and E4 series’ Tripped. Upcoming credits on screen include the new BBC WWII drama World On Fire premiering this September and the crime-comedy film Madness In The Method.

Harrison's stage credits include the role of Michael in The End Of The Pier at London's Park Theatre and STEP 9 (Of 12) at the West End's Trafalgar Studios.

The new lead cast in Waitress also stars Ashley Roberts as Dawn, David Hunter as Dr. Pomatter, Lucie Jones as Jenna, Marisha Wallace as Becky, Peter Hannah as Earl, and Shaun Prendergast as Old Joe.
