On the day of its 200th birthday, the Old Vic has announced an unprecedented “marathon broadcast” which will be shared live across Twitter this afternoon, 11 May 2018, ahead of the evening performance of Mood Music.

Starting around 2pm users can watch the content live via the Old Vic’s Twitter channel @OldVicLive, users are also encouraged to join in on the birthday celebrations using #OV200.

The content streamed today promises to show users a little bit about life at the Old Vic both on and off stage.

Content is set to include a full length production of Tamsin Oglesby's comedy about the education system Future Conditional, One Hand Tied Behind Us One Voice Monologues celebrating 100 years of women’s suffrage and featuring actresses Sheila Atim, Jill Halfpenny, Siobhan McSweeney, Flo Wilson and Celia Imrie, and interviews with Old Vic Bicentenary Ambassadors such as Dame Judi Dench, Glenda Jackson and Lesley Manville. The programme will also include behind the scenes footage from their shows, special birthday wishes from familiar faces, and special features on how our Old Vic’s education scheme Schools Club and employability programme Front Line help the theatre enrich the lives of young people.
