I have always loved performing in choirs and the theatre as a child and an adult. As a theatre goer my tastes are broad. I relish watching musical theatre, ballet, street, jazz and contemporary dance. I am passionate about plays by a huge range of writers from Shakespeare to Alan Bennett, Louise Orwin and James Graham. I am excited by the wide variety of contemporary plays which entertain, challenge and make me feel and think deeply.
I retired from working as a National Officer of a trade union in 2016, ten years after a life-threatening road traffic collision left me disabled. I was inspired to start writing short fiction in 2016, after attending creative writing evening courses. I began writing theatre reviews in 2017 and I am thrilled by the opportunities to combine two of my loves: live theatre and writing.
