My first visceral memory of the theatre comes from, oddly, the movies. All About Eve’s classic backbiting tale of theatre-folk gave me a taste for old-school drama and glamour, and that taste became a voracious appetite. Although theatre critic Addison Dewitt is labelled “as essential to the theatre as ants are to a picnic”, I hope my own reviews are more welcome…
From musicals to brooding monologues, I think there’s little else in the world as inspiring or influential as live theatre and storytelling. When not coming up with storyboards and adverts in my day job as an advertising copywriter, I try to catch as much diverse theatre comings-and-goings as possible.
