Etisyai Philip is a professional actress specialising in theatre and also working in various other domains like television, short films and commercials. She recently finished portraying an Ensemble/Mrs Brown in The Book Of Mormon at the Prince of Wales Theatre, London.
Training:
Etisyai graduated with a BA Honours in Acting (for Musical Stage) in 2010 from the Central School of Speech and Drama. She has been across platforms ever since.
Theatre:
Her work in theatre includes playing Little Inez in Anthony Williams’ Hairspray at the Aberystwyth Arts Centre (2012) Cover Gary Coleman, Bad Idea Bear/Mrs T/2nd arm in Cressida Carre’s Avenue Q (2014), Gary Coleman in Avenue Q (2016), Billie in James Tobias’ Our House (UK tour) and Immersion Theatre (2017) and Mrs Brown/Ugandan Ensemble in The Book Of Mormon in the West End (2018).
On stage, she has also played Oliviette in Catherine Alexander’s Sold (2011) and Jade/Shanice/April in Choices: ‘Ubudoda’; ‘Hesitation’; ‘Lead Winter’ (2014).
Short Film:
Her credits in short films include Forest Spirit in Andrew Rainnie’s The Collector (2010), Dancer in Muriel d’Ansembourg’s Good Night (2011) and The Creature in Catch A Butcher (2020).
