Danny Mac is a British singer and actor born in Bromley, England. He is renowned for his award-winning roles both on-screen and on stage. Mac grew up in the seaside town of Bognor Regis. In 1998, he played the role of Gavroche in the Les Miserables musical. He was seen playing the character again in the West End in 1999. After a decade, he performed in the West End again as a part of the musical, Wicked.
In 2016, Mac was a contestant in BBC One's 14th series of Strictly Come Dancing. He is, by average, the highest-scoring male celebrity to ever take part in the show and finished as a runner up. In 2017, he starred in the musical On the Town as Gabey. The production received "Best Musical Revival" nomination at the 2018 Olivier Awards. He also starred in the multiple award-winning production of Sunset Boulevard from September 2017 to April 2018. His role of Joe Gillis in the show won him the "Best Actor" award at The Manchester Theatre Awards and "Best Actor" nomination at the WhatsOnStage Awards.
Training
Mac trained in acting for two years at Chichester College. Later, he went to The Arts Educational Schools in London and graduated with a BA Hons degree in 2009.
