Amy West is an experienced, professional actress from Billericay, Essex. Born 2nd June 1992, she is also a dancer who is currently appearing as a cast member in Hairspray. With skills in jazz and tap dancing, Amy has also worked as an associate choreographer. She also loves painting and is a qualified teacher.
Training:
She went to the Urdang Academy, graduating in 2013 with a 1st Class BA Honours degree in Professional dance and musical theatre.
Theatre:
Amy has worked extensively in musicals. Her credits in musical include understudy Mrs Santiago and ensemble in the UK tour of Matthew Warchus’ Ghost (David Ian Productions, 2013); ensemble in the UK tour of Matthew White’s Top Hat (Kenny Wax, 2014); swing in the UK tour of Des McAnuff’s Jersey Boys (David Ian Productions, 2015); understudy Lisa and ensemble in Mamma Mia! London (Littlestar Services Ltd, 2016); 1st cover Lilly St Regis and swing in Nikolai Foster’s Annie (David Ian Productions) at the Picadilly Theatre, 2017; 1st cover Lily St Regis, swing and dance captain in Nikolai Foster’s Annie (David Ian Productions, Toronto, 2018); ensemble and understudy Carrie in Ian Talbot’s Eugenius at The Other Palace, 2018; swing, dance captain and associate choreographer in the UK tour of Nikolai Foster’s Annie (David Ian Productions, 2019).
In 2017, she was an associate choreographer in Kirk Jameson’s Annie Get Your Gun at the Union Theatre, and an ensemble in the Robin Hood pantomime (Qdos Pantomimes, 2019).
