Born in Exmouth, Devon on 12th November 1988, Alistair Daniel Brammer is a famous English actor and singer. He is most famous for playing the role of Jean Prouvaire in the Les Miserables: 25th Anniversary Concert (2010) as well as Les Miserables (the 2012 musical movie). His big break came in 2005 when he was selected to be a part of Les Miserables playing at Queen’s Theatre.
Brammer was among the 35 students from various parts of England who were chosen to be a part of the 20th-anniversary celebration of Les Miserables at Queen’s Theatre. When in college, he competed in the talent show “Any Dream Will Do” and was among the 20 final contestants. Even though he did not win, the show’s judge Bill Kenwright wanted him to appear in “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat” 2008-09 UK tour. For the production, he played the character of Zebulon and also understudied both Joseph and Benjamin.
He made his West End debut in Les Miserables as Marius in 2009. He spent 18 months there for the role. He also made an appearance as Walter, and in a European tour of Hair, he understudied Claude before playing Prouvaire in the Les Miserables movie. Since then, he was also seen in Taboo at the Brixton Clubhouse and the West End production of War Horse. In 2014, he played Chris in the West End revival of Miss Saigon.
