Starring: Cathryn Bradshaw, Denis Quilley, Felicity Kendal, Simon Russell Beale, Marcia Warren, William Gaunt.
The multi award-winning Felicity Kendal joins the cast in Charlotte Jones’ new comedy about broken vows, failed hopes and the joys of beekeeping.
The show, which has transferred from the National Theatre, finds Simon Russell Beale’s 35 year-old Felix Humble, a Cambridge astro-physicist, returning home to a difficult and demanding mother (played by Kendal) after the sudden death of his father. William Gaunt, whose first appearance at the National was in the 1999 production of Look Back In Anger, also reprises his role along with the rest of the original Cottesloe cast.
Kendal’s most recent appearance on the West End stage saw her co-starring with Frances de la Tour in Noel Coward’s Fallen Angels.
