Witness for the Prosecution announces extension, new cast

Currently celebrating its first year back in the West End, Witness for the Prosecution has announced it will extend its booking period from 31 March 2019 to September 2019. The show, which is set in the apt and atmospheric London County Hall, was nominated for the Best Revival Olivier Award this year.



In addition to the extension of the show’s booking period, it was also announced that from 20 November Witness for the Prosecution would be swearing in a new cast. Known for his work with the Royal Shakespeare Company, as well as his work in films and serials like My Dad’s the Prince Minister, Jasper Britton will play Sir Wilfrid Robart. He will be joined by Emma Rigby, formerly of serials such as Hollyoaks and Once Upon a Time, as Romaine Vole. Playing her husband, the accused will be Daniel Solbe (Shadow Folk). William Chubb (Othello, This House) will play Mr Myers QC and Christopher Ravenscroft (RSC, Summer and Smoke) will play Mr Justice Wainwright. Ewan Stewart (Jumpy, Let the Right One In) joins as Mr Mayhew.

The cast will be completed by Chloé Booyens, Hugh Osborne, Jamie Zubairi, Joanna Brookes, Leo Turner, Liam Lau Fernandez, Miriam Cooper, Phoebe Marshall, Richard Banks, and Simon Roberts.
