Sally Olwen Clark, popularly known as Petula Clark was born on 15th November 1932. Hailing from Epsom, Surrey, she is a professional singer, composer and actress. She rose to fame at the age of 9 when she sang for the WWII troops stationed in England. Clark has over eight decades of professional experience on the stage, be it the West End, Broadway, or concerts.
During her long-reigning career, she has sold over 70 million music records. In 1998, she was also made a Commander of the British Empire, and in 2012, she became a Commander of the Ordre des Arts et des Lettres on France.

She is the winner of 3 Grammy Awards and several others. She has received multiple Golden Globe nominations. Her first major award was Most Outstanding Female TV Personality of the Year in 1950.
