Born in 16th January 1980, Lin-Manuel Miranda is an America-based playwright, actor, writer, rapper, and composer. His most significant achievements include two Grammy Awards, three Tony awards, a MacArthur "Genius" Award, an Emmy and a Pulitzer Prize. He is well known for starring in the Broadway musicals In the Heights and Hamilton.

Miranda composed the lyrics and music for "In the Heights", and his writing for the show brought him immense praise and awards. Not only did Miranda write the lyrics and music, but he was also the lead in the musical. His role as Usnavi earned him a Tony nomination for Best Actor in a Musical.

Miranda also wrote the book, lyrics and music for Hamilton — his second major Broadway musical. He played the lead role of Alexander Hamilton in the show, which earned him the Drama League Award and his second Tony Award nomination. Hamilton also brought him the Tony Award for Best Book of a Musical and the Tony Award for Best Original Score.

In 2015, his album spent 10 weeks on Billboard's Top Rap Albums. Billboard eventually named the album the 11th biggest album of the 2010s. His album of covers "The Hamilton Mixtape", which consists of songs from the musical, climbed to #1 on the Billboard 200.
